Keragaan Beberapa Varietas Unggul Baru terhadap Serangan Penyakit Utama Padi di Pulau Bangka

Ringkasan

Climate change impact on changes in cropping patterns and pest and disease. The use of high yielding varieties that can adaptively cope with the decline in paddy production due to climate change. The assessment carried out during the growing season (MT) from April to October 2012 in the village of rice fields Namang, District Namang Central Bangka. Rice varieties used are high yielding varieties (VUB), namely Pepe, Sunggal, Aek Sibundong, Sintanur, Inpari-11 and Ciherang as a comparison. Variables measured include: plant height, number of productive tillers, and the percentage of disease. The assessment results show Inpari 11 and Sunggal more resistant to disease than other varieties. This can be seen from the percentage of disease that attacks against varieties by 20% Inpari 11 and 25% Sunggal. In terms of production and Sunggal Sibundong Aek varieties have the highest production of 6.7 t/ha and 6.2 t/ha. Thus, Sunggal varieties deserves to be developed into specific high yielding variety in Bangka Island.
